Fellowship-trained and board certified physicians are on site within the hospital 24 hrs a day, 365 days a year to oversee and ensure the highest quality diagnostic medical imaging for Fredericksburg and the surrounding areas.

Interventional Radiology

Fellowship-trained board certified physicians specializing in minimally invasive diagnosis and treatments. Services include image-guided biopsies, endovascular therapies, pain management, and cancer treatments as alternatives to surgery.

Vascular Surgery

Board-certified vascular surgeons offer a full-service vascular medicine practice offering treatments for carotid artery disease, aortic aneurysms, peripheral vascular disease, wound healing, and varicose veins.

Routine non-emergent outpatient imaging
For routine non-emergent outpatient imaging, please call Centralized Scheduling at (540) 741-XRAY(9729). All locations handle routine x-rays on a walk-in basis with a prescription.

Emergent same day outpatient imaging
Emergent same day imaging or special needs cases can be scheduled directly through Medical Imaging of Fredericksburg by dialing their main number (540-741-7026). A receptionist will connect you with an imaging supervisor.

Nuclear Medicine
Nuclear medicine studies are to be scheduled directly with the Nuclear medicine department at (540) 741-1576.

PET-CT studies are to be scheduled by contacting the PET center directly at (540) 741-4PET (4738).

Our mission

RAF is a professional physician group providing sub-specialized diagnostic imaging, vascular surgery and interventional radiology services to the greater Fredericksburg, Virginia region.

All of our radiologists are Board Certified by the American Board of Radiology and many have additional specialized certification. We currently have 25 diagnostic radiologists, 5 Interventional radiologists, 2 vascular surgeons and 6 mid-level practitioners; Our physicians were trained at some of the most prestigious radiology programs in the country including Mallinckrodt, Johns Hopkins, Duke, Stanford, University of Virginia, Memorial Sloan-Kettering and M.D. Anderson Cancer Centers, among others. We provide sub-specialized expertise in all major areas of radiology including, but not limited to, Neuroradiology, Orthopedic Imaging, Women’s Imaging, Nuclear medicine, Trauma Imaging, Oncology/Cancer Imaging as well as performing minimally invasive techniques for detection and treatment of many types of disease.
