Shivani graduated from the University of Mumbai, India in 2000 with a Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery. She then received her Post Graduate Diploma in Counseling and Health Psychology from St. Xavierâ€™s Institute of Counseling Psychology, Mumbai, India in 2003. In 2006, Shivani received her Masters of Physician Assistant studies from James Madison University.

Prior to joining VIVA in December of 2009, Shivani worked for Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery, Mary Washington Healthcare, for over 3 years.

She is certified through NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants) and is a member of the American Association of Physician Assistants and the Association of Physician Assistants in Cardiovascular Surgery.
