Dr. Statler grew up in Newark, Delaware with the intention of becoming an English teacher. However, that changed while attending Johns Hopkins University. "I decided there was a bigger picture for my life," he said. He went on to Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia on a four-year scholarship with the US Army and then completed his medical training at Walter Reed Army Medical Center.
Dr. Statler joined Radiologic Associates of Fredericksburg (RAF) in 2007 after completing his military service. "Our practice is unique in that we have so many strong, qualified individuals. Everyone is exceptional at what they do," he noted.
In his time away from professional activities, Dr. Statler enjoys home life with his wife Rachel and daughters Sophie and Ashley. Reading, riding bikes, and visiting Disney World are at the top of the family's to-do list. He and his family are active in the Presbyterian Church of Fredericksburg. Dr. Statler is also an avid drummer and has played in bands most of his life. Although today he favors digital percussion, he still has the second-hand drum set he bought when he was 13.
