From his earliest days in the classroom, Dr. Perusse was captivated by the life sciences. "After many years of looking into the microscope, I decided the best way to focus my interest was in helping people through medicine," he says.
He received his medical degree from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, MD, served his surgical internship at Dwight D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center in Fort Gordon, GA and completed his radiology residency training at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. While at Walter Reed, Dr. Perusse served US military personnel from more than 100 countries where he gained knowledge of virtually every medical condition, including direct experience with trauma cases.
When not at work, Dr. Perusse enjoys landscaping projects, exploring the Caribbean islands and kayaking on the Rappahannock River.
